More than 130 third-graders dressed in style last week in T-shirts provided to them by the Miami County Conservation District. The third-graders at Broadmoor Elementary School participated in the organization’s poster, limerick and essay contest by creating posters with this year’s theme, “Water is Life 2008.” Two Louisburg students, Chloe Philgreen and Garrett Caldwell, were named winners in the countywide contest. For winning, Chloe and Garrett received T-shirts with their posters screened on the sleeves and received awards last week at a pizza party with other county winners. On Wednesday, each member of the third grade wore their T-shirts in recognition of their efforts.
