 Ken and Marilyn New of Paola will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Paola Country Club from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.Ken New and Marilyn Roush were married Jan. 3, 1959, in Chanute, Kan. At the time of their marriage, they made their home in Richmond, Kan. They have lived in Paola for the last 39 years. Mr. New is a real estate agent. Mrs. New is a housewife. The couple’s children, Tammy Bell of Osawatomie, Randy New of Paola, Debby Stout of Lane and Rhonda McDonald of Gardner, will host the anniversary celebration. They request no gifts. The News have 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
