 After a slow start in the first quarter, it didn't take long for the Louisburg girls' basketball team to take control in the championship game of its home tournament Saturday against St. James Academy.The Wildcats went on for a 52-41 victory over the Thunder thanks to a strong third quarter defensively. Louisburg gave up just five points in the quarter and pulled away from there. Katelynn O'Hara led the Wildcats with 15 points and was the only Louisburg player to score in double figures. This was Louisburg's first home tourney title in three years. Look for a complete wrap-up in Wednesday's edition of the Louisburg Herald.
