Georgie I. Wright, 79, Paola, died unexpectedly March 11, 2009, at Olathe Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1929, to J.F. and Hazel Cortner. She was a 62-year member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her only brother. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Wright of Olathe and Terence Wright of Osawatomie; one daughter, Nancy Darling of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by family and friends. Graveside services were Monday in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Arrangements are by Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel, 305 N. Pearl St., Paola, KS 66071, (913) 294-2372.
