The top aprons in different categories have already been chosen at the Miami County Swan River Museum, but there’s still time to swing by and see the winning chef apparel in person. The museum has been displaying the aprons since its contest began at the beginning of April. Bettie Ore of the museum said there were 35 total aprons submitted for the contest, and there were winners chosen in nine categories Friday. The winners in each category were Jeff Hartl, chef and BBQ; Amanda Cline, bib; Ellen Jones, cobbler; Eileen Ruttinger, pina fore; Cwen Sims, waist; Reita Woodall, party; Helen Carter, child’s; and Naomi Clifton, oldest. The winning aprons will be on display until the end of the month along with additional aprons provided by museum employees. The museum is located at 12 E. Peoria St., Paola.
