More than $203,300 was awarded to 49 Louisburg High School seniors for their first year of college. Students were recognized Sunday afternoon at LHS commencement ceremonies. Those receiving scholarships as of Friday afternoon: Sarah Abu-Ali: Teens Against Tobacco Service Award. Morgan Adams: Sigma Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship. Greg Agnew: Rogers Family Scholarship through USD 416 Endowment Association and the Putnam Scholarship and Engineering Scholarship from Kansas State University. Nicolette Arnold: Stone Family Scholarship through the endowment and the Olathe Medical Center Scholarship. Andrew Barker: Richard Chandlee Scholarship through the endowment, Louisburg High School Student Council Scholarship, Oklahoma Baptist University Academic Award and Communications Scholarship. Laurissa Beckman: Louisburg Lions Club Scholarship, Damon Dennis/Andy Hill Family Scholarship through the endowment, Louisburg High School Booster Club Scholarship, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship, Pay-It-Forward Award, Dale M. Dennis Excellence in Education Award and University of Kansas Achievement Award. Sean Bird: Louisburg High School Student Council Scholarship, Doane Community Award and Journalism/Media Scholarship from Doane College. Dakota Bixler: Opportunity Scholarship from Kansas State University. Rebecca Campbell: Georgia Spurlock Memorial Scholarship, and Academic Leadership Award and a Presidential Scholarship from Baker University. Sara Campbell: Louisburg Masonic Lodge Scholarship, Don Hunt Memorial Scholarship and Red and Black Scholarship from the University of Central Missouri. Rachel Crotchett: University of St. Mary Honor Scholarship and Cheerleading Scholarship. Patrick Dixon: Louisburg High School Football Backers Scholarship and University of St. Mary Athletic Scholarship. Ryan Dvorak: Louisburg High School Football Backers Scholarship, Coffeyville Community College Athletic Scholarship and Kansas State High School Activities Association Citizenship Award. Jenna Eggleston: Louisburg Lions Club Scholarship, Louisburg High School Booster Club Scholarship, Flaigle Family Scholarship through the endowment, Pay-It-Forward Award, Miami County Coalition Against Substance Abuse Scholarship, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship, Oklahoma Christian University Merit Award and Cargill Scholarship. Ashley Emerick: Heartland Art Guild Scholarship. Alissah Ferris: First Option Bank Scholarship and Kansas State University Leadership Award. Jenna Fleming: Kelly Family Scholarship through the endowment, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship and Out-of-State Tuition Award from Oklahoma State University. Abbey Frazier: Southwest Baptist University Athletic Scholarship. Rachel Goodwin: Louisburg Rotary Scholarship, Murray/Kirkpatrick Scholarship through the endowment, Louisburg High School Booster Club Scholarship, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship, Louisburg Chapter of the National Honor Society Scholarship, Board of Governors Award and Midwest Exchange Program Award from Missouri State University. Aften Graham: Lois Jackson Memorial Education Scholarship, Peoples Bank Scholarship and Salt and Light Scholarship. Carolyn Harris: Todd Beasley Memorial Scholarship, Kenneth Arnett Memorial Scholarship, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship, Jim Morgan FFA Scholarship, Kansas State University Activity Award and a book scholarship from K-State. Wesley Hutson: Kansas State University Opportunity Scholarship. Kayleigh Kohlenberg: Bill Windisch Memorial Scholarship. Cody Larson: Athletic Scholarship and Heritage Award from Ottawa University. Zechariah Lyons: Lutheran Scholarship from Paola Lutheran Church. Morgan Mackey: USD 416/Pepsi Scholarship, Salt and Light Scholarship and Kansas State University Leadership Award. Ali McKiearnan: Ralph Arnett Memorial Scholarship, Gillogly Family Scholarship through the endowment, Kansas State University Foundation Award, K-State College of Agriculture Award and Crader Distributing FFA Nursery/Landscaping Scholarship. Kevin Morgan: Todd Beasley Memorial Scholarship, Damon Grimes Memorial Scholarship, Louisburg Ford Truck/FFA Scholarship, Miami County 4-H Scholarship, Crader Distributing FFA Nursery/Landscaping Scholarship, Orscheln Farm & Home Scholarship and Kansas Junior Livestock Show Scholarship. Chelsea Morland: Blair Family Scholarship through the endowment, Louisburg Masonic Lodge Honest and Integrity Award, Salt and Light Scholarship, Kansas State High School Activities Association Citizenship Award and Johnson County Community College Athletic Scholarship. Katie Mulich: Bill Windisch Memorial Scholarship. Jordan Minden: Lois Jackson Memorial Scholarship and Brigham Young University of Rexburg Idaho Award of Excellence. Kyle Nauman: Neosho County Community College Athletic Scholarship. Jackie Nofsinger-Smith: Lawrence E. Bauer Memorial Scholarship. Cassandra O’Brien: Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship. Jamison Parkhill: Bob Finch Memorial Scholarship and Dean’s Scholarship, Connection Award and Athletic Scholarship from Morningside College. Emilie Patterson: Iota Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship and Sigma Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship. Kelsie Phillips: Rose Thomas Memorial Scholarship. Kristina Ratterman: Red and Black Award from University of Central Missouri. Clark Rogers: USD 416 Endowment Association Scholarship, Louisburg High School Booster Club Scholarship and Kansas State University Leadership Award. Rachel Schluter: Western Metal Scholarship through the endowment, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship and from Kansas State University the Medallion Award, two Business Administration Department Awards, Dean’s Choice Award and John H. Tietze Scholarship. Megan Seely: Louisburg High School Student Council Scholarship, L&K Services Scholarship and Emporia State University Freshman Academic Award. Lindsay Stacks: University of St. Mary Athletic Scholarship and Teens Against Tobacco Service Award. Genna Stambaugh: Miami County 4-H Coffman Leadership Award, Miami County 4-H Ballentine Scholarship and Kansas State University Achievement Award and Civic Leadership Award. Trisha Stone: Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship. Gabrielle Turner: Salt and Light Scholarship. Sophie Wallerstedt: Louisburg Rotary Club Scholarship, Lois Jackson Memorial Education Scholarship, Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship and Minnesota University Gold National Award. Devin Weers: Bill Windisch Memorial Scholarship and Elks P.E.R. Scholarship. Candice Wood: Wilson/Crawford Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the G.R.A.D.E. Foundation and Kansas State University Leadership Award. Two 2008 Louisburg High School graduates also received the Evelyn Perdue Memorial Scholarship. They are Katrene Bormann and Caleb Kueser.
