Residents interested in keeping up with their finances or letting a little stress go will find two programs at Louisburg Library are just for them.

The first, “Basic Money Management 101,” will be held at 7 tonight at the library, 206 S. Broadway St.

Diane Burnett, the family and consumer science agent in Miami County’s K-State Research & Extension Office, has some answers for your pocketbook and will cover wants, needs and goals and how to develop a spending plan or budget for your family. This event is part of the library’s adult summer reading program, “Master the Art of Reading.”

The second program encourages teams to join together for the second annual Nintendo Wii Family Bowling Tournament.

Bowlers of all ages are invited to the tournament, which will be held at 6 p.m. July 18 at the Louisburg United Methodist Church. Participants should sign up at the library by 6 p.m. July 15.

No experience is necessary, but if you feel you need some experience, you can sign up for a 30-minute practice session at the library. Time slots for practice sessions will be held beginning at 6 p.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is a single-elimination tournament made up of two brackets: one with an adult and child, and another with two adults.

Both programs, organized by Louisburg Library, are free and open to the public.

For more information, visit the library’s Web site at www.louisburglibrary.org or call 837-2217.
