Kimberly Angalet of Louisburg and Andrey Shevchenko of Astana, Kazakhstan, were married in a double-ring ceremony July 10, 2009, in Astana.

The bride is the daughter of Rich and Donna Angalet of Louisburg. She is a 2003 graduate of Louisburg High School and a 2007 graduate of Kansas State University, where she majored in political science and modern languages. She is a Peace Corps volunteer.

Her husband is the son of Gennadiy and Tatyana Shevchenko of Astana. He attended Kazakh-Russian University and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

The bride wore a simple white eyelet dress trimmed with a blue sash.

Following the ceremony, pictures were taken in front of a war memorial at a local park. The couple then took a weekend trip with both sets of parents.
