As the school year approaches, parents and students at each of Louisburg USD 416’s schools are preparing for a few changes this year.

Classes begin for students at Rockville and Broadmoor Elementary School with a half day and for sixth- and ninth-graders with a full day Tuesday. Students in all grades have a full day Aug. 19.

Start time

Several of Louisburg’s schools are starting earlier this year.

Louisburg High School will begin at 7:55 a.m., and classes will dismiss at 3:05 p.m. Late start Wednesdays begin at 8:35 a.m.

Louisburg Middle School will begin at 7:55 a.m. and end at 3:05 p.m.

Broadmoor Elementary School classes will begin at 7:55 a.m. and end at 3:05 p.m. Students will be allowed inside the building at 7:30 a.m.

Rockville Elementary School will begin at 8:10 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m. Students will be allowed inside the building at 7:40 a.m.

Changes

LHS and LMS will both unveil a change in how visitors can enter the building during school hours. Main doors to both schools will be locked once school begins, and all visitors will be required to use new entrances that funnel them through the schools’ offices. Similar entrances were installed at BES and RES last year.

Broadmoor staff also want to remind parents to drop their students off in the morning on the east side of the building and pick them up from school in the afternoon on the south side.
