Sixty years ago, Russell J. Davey and Audrey A. Dugger exchanged wedding vows at the Holiday Baptist Church in Holiday, Kan. After their Oct. 15, 1949, wedding, the couple made their home in Boon, Iowa. Mr. Davey is retired after 30 years at Delco in Olathe. He also provided tree and stump removal service for Olathe and the surrounding area. Mrs. Davey was a school bus driver/supervisor in Olathe for 13 years. The kids loved it when they discovered Mrs. Davey was their bus driver. The couple lived in Olathe for 55 years, and they have lived in Spring Hill for the last three years. They will celebrate their 60th anniversary with their immediate family at home. They are the parents of three children, Debbie Johnson of Paola, and Ed Davey and Tracy Davey, both of Olathe. They also have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Their children are honored to see their parents celebrating 60 years together. They ask that cards congratulating them on this special occasion be sent to 21842 W. 220th St., Spring Hill, KS 66083.
