Mr. and Mrs. James Haley of Osawatomie will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday.

Glenadyne Ginn of Fairport, Mo., and James Haley of Weatherby, Mo., were married Nov. 19, 1949, at St. Joseph, Mo.
The Haleys farmed in Missouri until they moved to the Paola area in 1955.

James worked for Delco Battery in Olathe, retiring in 1987. He enjoys working with wood, but his favorite pastime was horses. He helped to start the Miami County 4-H Horse Club.

Glenadyne liked to be involved in the community and served as leader in the local and county 4-H program. She loved to sew for their family and others before losing some of her eyesight due to diabetes. Sending cards for birthdays and anniversaries to her family is a joy as she never wants to miss any one.
Their children and spouses are David (deceased) and Kathy Haley of Stockton, Mo.; Danny (deceased) and Bonnie Haley of Edgerton; Paul and Kathy Haley, Ginny Gabbert, and Joel and Sharon Haley, all of Paola; and Kevin and Linda Haley of Dripping Springs, Texas. The Haleys are also blessed with 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Christmas is always a very special celebration with their 50-plus family members. As they have out-grown everyone’s home, they now use a rented hall for their family gathering.

James and Glenadyne have lived in Osawatomie since 1982. Though they both continue to have health issues, Glenadyne says, “We take care of each other and our needs, and are just grateful for another day with our family.”

Anyone wishing to honor them on this special occasion may send cards to: Mr. and Mrs. James Haley, 1210 Main St., Osawatomie, KS 66064.
