Louisburg High School senior hosts fund-raiser

Kevin Sitek, LHS senior, will host a fund-raiser at the Feb. 2 home high school basketball games, as part of his graduation research project. The funds will be donated to Samaritan’s Feet, a nonprofit organization that provides socks and shoes to the less fortunate throughout the world. Sitek will be selling raffle tickets to win gift cards, at a price of $1 per ticket or $5 for 10 tickets. The winners will be announced at halftime of the boys varsity game. If the project manages to raise $150, all LHS basketball coaches will coach barefoot at the Feb. 5 basketball games.

PSU admissions counselor to visit LHS students

A Pittsburg State University admissions counselor, Dana Blubaugh, will visit Louisburg High School students Thursday. The visit is conducted to inform students about the benefit of beginning their college career at PSU. Blubaugh will meet with the students at 11 a.m.

She will answer questions the students have about Pitt State and about college in general. The students will also receive a view book showing several different aspects of Pittsburg State.
For more information about PSU, call the Office of Admission, 800-854-PITT, or visit PSU’s home page on the Web at pittstate.edu.
