1927-2010
Madilynne C. “Lynne” Long, 82, Louisburg, died Feb. 11, 2010. Lynne lived in Louisburg for the past 53 years. She was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Gloucester, Mass., to Fred and Mary Rogers Blatchford. She was united in marriage to Thomas R. “Ray” Long on Oct. 8, 1946. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Catalano of Overland Park, and Karen Williams and Robyn Estle, both of Louisburg; a brother, Fred Blatchford of Tyrone, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Karen Hart of Littleton, Colo.; Dennis Williams of Olathe; Tony Catalano of Overland Park; Jeff Williams, Taylor Ridley, Will Ridley, Joshua Estele and Keith Estle Jr., all of Louisburg; and four great-grandchildren, Sam Catalano of Overland Park; Brady Hart and Marissa Hart, both of Littleton; and Akyra Brock of Olathe. The family will accept visitors at the Penwell-Gabel Louisburg Chapel today from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Louisburg Cemetery.
