Jennifer Bell, daughter of Tony and Tammy Bell, all of Osawatomie, and Nicholas McCord of Lenexa, son of Kent and Terri McCord of Shawnee, were united in marriage June 5, 2010, at the home of the bride’s parents.

The color theme of the wedding was purple and silver. At the end of the ceremony, butterflies were released.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Maggie Soterro Harmony strapless A-line dress in satin pearl/pewter, with lace-up closure embellished embroidery design on the bodice and hem with a ribbon accent at the waistline.

Steffany Madden served as her cousin’s matron of honor wearing a purple satin strapless, knee-length A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline. Bridesmaids were Kassandra Wright, Samantha Pearson, Kaylee Hurt, Kelsey Stout and Lauren McCord, sister of the groom.

Flower girls were Ashlyn and Avery Bell. Guest book attendants were Megan Brooks and Taylor Henderson. Gift attendants were Molly Bauer, Tiffany Zimmerman and Carmen Roberts.



Mason Shoemaker and Owen Bell were ring bearers.

Serving as his brother’s best man was Brett McCord. Groomsmen were Brandon Jones, Shayne Wilson, Jeff Sims, Jon Micheals, and Jeremy Bell, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Sam McCord, Scott Peterson, Ben Kelsey and Matt Trimmer.

Grandparents of the bride are Jerold and Evelyn Bell and Ken and Marilyn New, all of Paola. The groom’s grandparents are Rex and Linda McCord of Kansas City, Kan., and Ralph and Marilyn Chambers of Shawnee.

A reception was held under a white tent in the bride’s parents’ yard. The bride’s aunts, Rhonda McDonald and Debby Stout, were cake servers.

The McCords spent 10 days in Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, on a wedding trip.

Mrs. McCord is a 2003 graduate of Osawatomie High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She is employed at Ryan Dental in Olathe.

Her husband is a 1998 Shawnee-Mission Northwest graduate and a 2004 graduate of The University of Kansas. He works at McCord Conveyor in Shawnee.
They are at home in Lenexa.
