Cristiano Ronaldo beat Erling Holland to become the world's top goalscorer in the 2023 calendar year, while opining that the Saudi league is more competitive than Ligue 1.

In the context of the same interview, “CR7” did not hesitate to sing the praises of Manchester City, who were rightly crowned European champions and underlined that they can repeat their feat.
“Manchester City have done brilliantly, congratulations on the season they've had. They've finally won the Champions League, the title they deserved two years ago. I enjoy watching them play.
They have a good chance of winning the Champions League again this year, with Real and Bayern as favourites”.
