Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of trying to “shift the blame onto Kiev” for the massacre that killed dozens of people in Moscow.
“What happened yesterday in Moscow is obvious: Putin and other scum are trying to blame [για την επίθεση] Someone else,” Zelensky said after Putin said the suspects had fled to Ukraine.
“They always follow the same methods,” Zelensky added.
In a televised address on Saturday, Russian President Putin said the four gunmen arrested in the deadly attack had “fled to Ukraine”.
Kiev angrily rejected the Russian leader's claims more than two years after Moscow invaded Ukraine.

The terrorist group “Islamic State” has claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow.
It was the deadliest attack in Russia in nearly two decades and the deadliest in Europe claimed by Islamic State.

Putin indicated that security measures have been strengthened in Russia.
He promised that those responsible for the attack would be punished. He also assured that whoever ordered the attack would be punished.
As he mentioned, all the culprits were found and arrested. However, he did not confirm the number of arrests.
