AEK 0-5: Ponce scores hat-trick and Union beat Peristeri by five points

AEK beat Atromitos by five points, winning 5-0 in Peristeri. Bones scored a hat trick, Cullens scored his first goal for the yellow and black and Johnson set up the final score. Toews' undefeated streak under Sasha Ilyich came to an end with this heavy loss.

AEK beat Atromidos 5-0 with a very easy and comfortable route from Peristeri. It was Union's first match to score five goals in the Stoiximan Super League since beating Panionios 5–0 at OAKA on 7 December 2019. Meanwhile, Atromidos' run of form lasted 13 games under Ilic.

Finals and expected goals of the match

Matias Almeida's big star Ezequiel Ponce scored a hat-trick, while up to this match he had scored two goals in the season. Cullens scored his first goal for the yellow and black, while Johnson completed the Union's victory with a superb curling header.

The Union took the lead in the second minute in their first final. Pelios created a ball on Acevedo's back and Ponce jumped into the area and sent the ball into the net with a fine finish. The Argentinian scored the second in the 15th minute with a close-range shot into the small area in front of Tzavella after Kacinovic turned left.

3-0 (this was also the score of the first half) by Cullens. After a corner from Kazinovic from the right and two attempts by Vida, the Peruvian stopper headed the ball into the net from close range.

AEK made it 4-0 in the 58th minute. Amrabad fed Rota on the right, who moved into the small area. Ponce grabbed the shot from close range but Tsitotas blocked him, but the Argentine grabbed the rebound and fired the ball into the net from close range.

It was 5-0 with Johnson in the 67th minute. Pelios took a corner from the right and the Denmark midfielder sent the ball into the net with a brilliant header.

In the first part Sifounas Union

AEK managed to find a goal in their first ever final 87 seconds into the match. Bonstan scored his first goal since September 21 and a big double at Brighton.

In the 5th minute Union missed a great chance to win 2-0 when Johnson's superb shot went wide. At 15' it was Callens' turn to threaten with a good shot, but Sintotas blocked him. She didn't have the same reaction seconds later when Ponce caught Sindota with a close-range shot and sent it into the net.

Gradually Atromitos picked up the pace and AEK tried to press the frames, but Union had another chance with good energy from Tzumber in the area, but Tsintotas stopped him. Valencia's header scored in the 33rd minute of the game.

AEK threatened again with a nice powerful shot from Jansson which Sintotas saved for a corner. From this the Union scored their third goal with Callens in the 35th minute. AEK's last good moment came in the 42nd minute when Guen's shot from outside the area was blocked by Stankovic.

With broken brakes until he scored the fifth goal

Sasha Ilyich tried to make Atromidos more aggressive, sent Antzilski to the grass, and together with Verko he scored two goals on the grass.

However, AEK completely controlled the match and did what they wanted on the pitch. He initially threatened Cullens with a well curled shot into the area but the ball went wide. Three minutes later, Zuber shot from the semi-circle of the area, but Sintotas blocked him.

However, in the 58th minute, AEK scored a hat-trick with Ezequiel Ponce adding dimensions to the victory for the yellow and black's comfortable victory. However, Mathias Almeida's men did not stop there and went on to score a fifth goal. Early on, in the 65th minute, Zuber went well on the counter-attack and after linking up well with Kazinovic, he made a pass from inside the area, but the ball went wide.

However, in the 67th minute, Johnson found the back of the net with a brilliant header after Pelios' corner kick. After the fifth goal, AEK came back. Atromidos, on the other hand, had a good moment with Andzelski in the 73rd minute, but Stankovic saved his header well with one hand for a corner. It was 5-0 till the end
