DG is in positive territory, down 7.33% for Jumbo

The Athens Stock Exchange ended today’s session on a positive note, with the general index moving between positive and negative areas with little variation (-0.4% to +0.3%).

The star of today’s session was Jumbo shares, which fell 7.33% after yesterday’s 3%.

In this climate The general index ended trading at 1,477.22 points with a marginal gain of 0.25% on a traded volume of 34.69 million units and a turnover of 281.30 million.

Turnover was high, passing Jumbo’s set with 4 million pieces and a value of 108.8 million euros.

A total of 35 sets were traded with a total value of 152.58 million euros and a volume of 10.919 million pieces.

As noted, all eyes are on Jumbo as it increased its stake through a placement from 2 million shares to 4 million shares — or about 3% of the stake, according to a Bloomberg report. The sale price of €27.20 per share represents a 9.33% discount from Wednesday’s close.

The bank index rose 0.20% to 1,279 points after yesterday’s 2.2% rally. Piraeus Bank managed losses of 0.24% and lost 0.24%, Alpha Bank returned from -1.51% to +0.43% and NBG returned to 0.43%. Eurobank rose 1.52%.

The FTSE ended slightly higher at 3,585 points and the FTSEM Mid-Cap ended almost unchanged at 2,371 points.

TITAN shares soared In high cap index With a gain of 3.65%, Titan Cement International SA announced that the group’s subsidiary, Titan, has expressed its desire to continue with the US stock exchange listing. The company plans to raise capital that will facilitate the financing of future growth and investment opportunities for TITAN Group and Titan America.

Notable gains of 3.62% were recorded by PPC, while Terna Energy ended at +1.86.

On the other hand, IKTINOS lagged behind with -2.38%, while AVAX lost 1.48%.

In total, 39 stocks ended unchanged, 52 in gains and 52 in losses.

It is worth noting that we have no important macroeconomic data this week, however, the minutes of the ECB (April meeting) will gather interest. Today’s agenda includes weekly mortgage applications and US wholesale inventories.
