Karras Farm Kokinori was the beloved artist's refuge in Kavala. The country singer, who died on Christmas Eve aged 70, spent the last years of his life in his village fulfilling his wish to build a farm where he was born.








On his farm in Kokinohari, a village in the Kavala regional division, the singer made a living by making his own products and selling them.

At an altitude of 200 meters at the foot of Pankai mountain, in a village where the people mainly cultivate vines, almonds and olives, Vasilis Karras created his own farm in the 2000s. From there he tried to preserve traditional products, targeting new crops for the region.

During the coronavirus quarantine period, when nightlife shops were closed, the singer returned to Earth and had the opportunity to devote himself to passion. It is not just a hobby for the great artist.

Pepper, cherry, figs and the farm's signature virgin oil with the “Karras” label, one of the most popular oils in Northern Greece, is one of the organic products it produces.

The singer devoted himself to his farm, which maintains traditional houses, brick ovens, an artificial lake and a cafe-grocery in the center of his rural acres.
