Greek national team
At noon on Tuesday, February 13, the men's national team call-ups for the first window of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers were announced. They were selected by Vassilis Spanoulis.
The EEC announced at noon on Tuesday, February 13, that Vassilis Spanoulis has been selected for the first window of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers.
The Federal coach (in his first call-ups) has included a total of eleven (11) players from Euroleague teams (Panathinaikos Aktor, Olympiakos, Fenerbahce, Baskonia), while the list includes – among others – Thomas Walkup with Naas Mitrou-Long (ss: first since receiving Greek ID card duly called).
It is of course reminded that due to the relevant FIBA regulation, two normalized players are not entitled to participate in the men's national team competition at the same time.

Sixteen (16) players were not on the pre-selection roster – among others – Kostas Slokas, Nick Kaladis, Ioannis Papapetrou and Tyler Dorsey. Of course, this applies to all teams in the qualifiers – as does the country's representatives in the NBA, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
We remind you that Greece is in Group F in the qualifiers along with Great Britain, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. In the first window, they welcome the Czech Republic on February 23 and three days later they face the Netherlands away from home.
In the final stage of EuroBasket 2025, the top three places in the group qualify.
The first meeting of the Men's National Team will be held at SEF on Monday, February 19.
